Understanding the biological and ecological processes taking place in the soil is the first step in planning and developing more effective farming strategies that Increase soil carbon, improve soil structure and reduce soil compaction. These in turn improve root and water infiltration.
By adopting these strategies farmers will be better prepared to tackle the future challenges of Climate Change and overcome the reduced effectiveness and non-sustainability of many conventional farming practices.
The workshops have been approved under the Australian Government FarmReady Reimbursements Grant Program. Under this program, last year workshops were held in Launceston Tas, Macksville NSW and Mission Beach Qld. Workshops are limited to 15 FarmReady approved participants who are reimbursed 65% of bona fide costs of attending.
